Hello world! My name is Alice and I’m a Technical Account Manager here at Convertr.
My role includes; managing our customer support system, helping clients with queries about the platform, investigating technical issues and working with the Development team to fix these. I also maintain platform documentation and assist in implementing technical requests and improvements.
Alongside this, training is a central part of my work; introducing new clients to the platform and updating existing clients about our new features and platform functionalities.
What else do you do inside Convertr?
On top of this role I like to organise events and charity initiatives within the company. I recently organised Convertr’s Christmas Shoebox campaign, which sends Christmas shoeboxes filled with toys, clothes and goodies to children affected by war, famine and natural disasters around the world.
Our next charity event will see us taking part in Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children. People everywhere will be getting in on the festive action and donning Christmas jumpers for Save the Children.
What keeps you busy outside of the office?
Outside of Convertr I am very active and am a keen runner. This year has been a marathon year for me in terms of running (pun intended); completing 2 official marathons and finishing my first ultra-marathon. I am looking to continue this streak into 2017: the next on my list is Race to the Stones, which is a 100km run finishing at Stonehenge.
Can you share your party trick?
I’m the person who brings cakes to the party. I love baking: scrambling all the ingredients together into one eggceptional creation. My favourite cake is either carrot or chocolate, especially when the mixture is slightly runny and soft, in my eyes both flavours are sunny side up!
As you may have eggstablished my party trick is my eggcellent puns, they are cracking… and they never go rotten as it seems shellfish to hold them back. Don’t worry I have now finished all by eggciting puns.
Only yolking…they will never end!
And finally, what’s your dream office pet?
A Niffler from the new Harry Potter movie.
